Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 October 2026

This policy explains how Directrix Technologies ("Directrix", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit this website or contact us. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary for this data, and under the UK and EU GDPR we are its controller. Questions: contact@directrixtechnologies.com.

In short

  • We only collect what you choose to send us, plus the minimum technical data needed to run a secure website.
  • We use it to reply to you and prepare work you ask for. We do not sell it, and we do not build advertising profiles.
  • We do not currently use analytics.
  • You can see, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, nominate someone, and complain, as described below.

Personal data we collect, and why

UK/EU: steps before a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying (GDPR art. 6(1)(b), (f))
Your IP address and request detailsEvery visit and form submissionTo deliver the site, keep it secure and limit spam (IP addresses are held in memory for minutes for rate limiting, and in our host's logs)India: security and legal compliance. UK/EU: legitimate interest in security

We never ask for sensitive data. Please do not send it in the form.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It uses a few items in your own browser to work properly:

NameTypePurposeHow long
dx-themeBrowser storage (first party)Remembers whether you chose light or dark modeUntil you clear it
dx-introSession storage (first party)Shows the short logo animation only once per visitUntil you close the tab

Because none of these items is used for tracking, no cookie banner is needed. If we add analytics that needs your consent, a banner will ask first and “Cookie preferences” will appear in the footer.

Service providers we use

These providers process data on our behalf, only on our instructions, or provide a service you choose to use:

  • Vercel, which hosts this website and runs the enquiry form (servers in several countries, including the USA).
  • Resend, which delivers enquiry form messages to our inbox (USA).
  • Google, which hosts our email inbox.
  • WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to message us there; WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy apply.
  • Your browser's speech service, only if you use voice in the SpeakMart sample; some browsers send that audio to their own online service. We receive nothing.

Transfers outside India and the UK or EU

Some providers process data outside India and outside the UK and EU. Indian law allows such transfers except to countries the Government restricts. For UK and EU visitors, our providers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that do not lead to an engagement for two years after our last contact with you, then delete them. Indian law requires us to keep records of processing for at least one year, so we keep them for at least that long. If we work together, project and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and company law require.

Your rights

  • Everyone: you can ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and ask us to correct, complete, update or delete it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it as easily as you gave it.
  • India (DPDP Act): you can also raise a grievance with us, nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or cannot act, and, after using our grievance process, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
  • UK and EU (GDPR): you can also restrict or object to processing, ask for a portable copy, and complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local EU data protection authority.
  • United States: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals.

To make a request, email contact@directrixtechnologies.com with the subject “Privacy request”, from the email address you used with us so we can find your data. We acknowledge requests within 2 working days and reply within one month. Grievances are resolved within 90 days at most.

Children

This website is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. Indian law requires verifiable parental consent before processing a child's data. If we learn that we hold a child's data without it, we delete it.

Security and breaches

We protect personal data with reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, limited access and server-side validation. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Language and changes

This policy is in English. On request we will provide it in any language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India. We update it when our practices change; the date at the top shows the latest version.
